Bay, Harbor and Home: Exploring and Restoring Special Places in the Chesapeake
I love ladybugs, they are such cute creatures and so important :D thank you so much for the behind the scenes scenes xD much appreciated <3
As a child I remember going to the Baltimore aquarium and using the paddle boats in the harbor. I was in PG county then moved to Annapolis. I always wish the water was cleaner. The Chesapeake Bay was getting very unclean. I live in Florida now. I love animals and plants and water. I always wondered if there was a way to make the water clear in these man-made retainment ponds that are everywhere in Florida. Imagine how beautiful the world could be if we truely all behaved as steward of the earth instead of only consumers and destroyers
I remember seeing her when I was 4 or 5 rip calypso
Build a new part of the National Aquarium! It can have an antarctic penguinarium and a stadium for orcas! And even an exhibit connected to the stadium where after the orcas are in their exhibit to the public separated by a large gate, the gate to the other exhibit for Sea Lions can open and they can show off the Sea Lions being fed and doing tricks just like the orcas!
So beautiful and relaxing 🥰🌹
Very awesome, just concerned, does the plastic mat break down and pollute the water?
Traditionally, floating wetlands can be made with either PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) or organic materials (mainly coconut fiber). In the end, we intentionally decided on PET due to its durability and higher ecological benefit. Here are the facts about PET: - PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) a post-consumer recycled plastic matrix EPA-approved polyester is used in drinking water bottles that do not use BPA (Bisphenol - a chemical produced for various plastic products). PET is a carefully engineered design ideal for rapid growth of beneficial sticky biofilms, which attract microbes (bacteria) to remove contaminants (e.g., phosphorus and nitrogen). It does not break down in water (like organic materials do-which is what opposing floating wetlands tend to be made of) and provides a flexible structure that is easy to anchor and absorbs wave energy.
Oooooohhh
SEA PUPPY! SEA PUPPY! SEA PUPPY!🦭
Those guys are gorgeous and their tank is amazing ❤❤
Hope they make more floating wetlands
Arin talks of this video ua-cam.com/video/BaX6BK66v9A/v-deo.htmlsi=IZtt5u0zKTHSg-uk
here from the game grumps lmao
This whole video is just amazingly mesmerizing 😊🙏🏼 without over exaggerating the setup/home is by far the best one I've seen, literally watched it like 30 times 🤣😂🤣
I understand the tag has a highly useful purpose. But I hope as technology constantly gets smaller, a more compact, less intrusive tag will be used in the future.
Beautiful! Will they get stuck or find their way out again?
I have never seen a better aquarium than we have at the Inner harbor. The exhibits and staff are truly exceptional! There are many educational gems worth seeing in the harbor area. Baltimore deserves better than it's current incompetent and corrupt leadership, destroying a once fine city. Here's hoping by a much needed needed regime change, it may yet rebound.
Love the relationship advice - silence for 6 months!😹
Nysa’s first audition! #NysaMorris
This place rocks! I love going here!
RIP Calypso
Went to the aquarium with my class last week. I have an unconscious habit of looking for her every time I visit. The Blacktip reef seemed so empty without her gliding through the water. I told my class about her and will show them this video. It is a lovely tribute to her and the lives she touched.
I'm glad i got to see her one last time a few years ago.
🎉
This is so calming to hear.
❤
0:34 looks like a pelvis 😂
If I have to live in Baltimore, I want to live HERE!! 💦🐒🦩🌴🦜🌿🐦🌺🐸🐬
I love that it was so cool
Can't wait til they expand the floating wetlands! It's cool that a crab would molt in there.
Hey fellas! I apologize if this isn't the right place to ask but, I remember an old commercial (Circa 2004-ish I believe?) for the national aquarium that had a toy diver looking for the Ocean and deciding to come to the National Aquarium but I can't find it anywhere, is there any way you guys could upload it to the YT channel? Thanks!
I'm definitely getting a few of these cute little turtles :)
Arin was right. This is upsetting
Love the video 🥳🫠
I’m gonna replay the video 1 million times
The blue poison dart frog is my favourite frog, poison dart frogs have the same ability, but this one has my favourite skin look!
Pathetic.
This really gave me a better idea about a Saltmarsh! Beautifully filmed too! Thanks ❤
🎉message me if you’re interested in doing a similar trip yourself
I caught some of these before in the inlet big ones on hook and last night a small one in my cast net
Should put live food in for them
Nice Video!
I remember seeing Calypso with a human foot attached to his missing flipper when I was a kid, I was wildly confused.
I love 😍 octpusess
did they ever go to the sea pen?
no
@@rhiandebban2028 smh
Arin hates this 😂
Came here from Game Grumps. I'm confused about the transforming part Arin talked about. It looks the same to me for the most part. ^.^* Beautiful creature though. <3
He's referring to a video with the title "fake alien creature near sea door" or something like that. It was CGI and not a real jelly.
The video he was talking about is called "Alien looking creature transforming near ocean floor at over 3700 feet" the camera did zoom out during it's transformation as he explained, unfortunately it was killed at the end
Game grumps anyone?
Grumps sent me
Arin is only deeply upset by this video because he wants to be one of these magnificent creatures
literally just came here because of Arin
Grump bump
Is this the transforming one he was talking about though? These ones are just kinda... hangin' out. lol
@@TaylorLopez412 I wondered about that too but I dont think so? But idk
glad we’re all here😂
I love them
They look like angels 👼
